Big Data Engineer in IT SmartFlex

IT SmartFlex is a Ukrainian product company that started its activities in 2019 as a subsidiary of the leading mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine with the aim to unite experts in the fields of telecommunications and software.

Functional Responsibilities:

- Identification of external and internal sources of big data for analytical work

- Construction of effective processes for obtaining and pipeline processing of large volumes of data from heterogeneous data sources, development methods and regulations of the necessary ETL processes

- Development of data models adapted to big data technologies

- Development of necessary analytical reports, sections and aggregates of big data

- Evaluation of the relevance of data sets to the subject area and tasks of analytical work

- Management of the life cycle of data (processes of acquisition, placement, storage, distribution, migration, archiving and deletion of big data)

Necessary skills:

- Experience in building data warehouses and data mining, processing and transformation processes based on MPP architecture

- Experience in database schema design and dimensional data modeling

- Knowledge and extensive experience using SQL, Oracle

- Knowledge of Java or Python as process automation stacks

- Experience in working with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Elasticsearch

- Knowledge of Redis DB, MongoDB can be useful;

- Understanding of building distributed clusters such as Spark, Hadoop , and others

- Experience in working with DBMS for analyzing big data such as Vertica, Exadata will be relevant;

- Understanding and having experience in working with message broker systems such as Kafka

- Knowledge and understanding of OLAP technologies

- Understanding of building and experience with data governance tools

- Experience in building and using data analytics and data science wokbench

- Knowledge of UNIX with experience using Shell for automation tasks
