Backend Software Engineer

As a core backend team member, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the product quality, architecture, and software engineering best practices of our rail and flight ticket booking engine. You’ll be part of the core scrum team responsible for building and maintaining the robust backend infrastructure that powers our ticket booking platform.

Responsibilities:
— work with software requirements coming from stakeholder committee of the company;
— tasks estimation, evaluation with project manager and the engineering team;
— microservice application architecture design;
— conduct code reviews;
— ongoing applications software development activities, such as maintenance, enhancement of booking businees logic visibility, monitoring of the system functionality along with implementation of the new features in our product roadmap;

Requirements:
— 3+ years of commercial experience using java (java 8+);
— excellent knowledge in java core, collections, IO, networking, servlets;
— good knowledge of spring framework (IoC container, spring boot, spring MVC, spring data, spring security);
— understanding software architecture and software design;
— experience with microservice architecture;
— experience in applying OOP design patterns, and SOLID principles;
— clean code culture, refactoring approaches;
— writing unit, integration tests;
— understanding REST, RESTful services;
— experience with postgreSQL, mongoDB;
— experience with rabbitMQ or apache kafka;
— basic knowledge of unix-linux;

Preferred qualifications (nice-to-haves):
— degree in computer science, applied mathematics or similar;
— theoretical and practical knowledge of design and scaling complex engineering applications;
— experience with kubernetes;
— experience with ELK;
— hands-on experience with event-driven systems;
— experience in project development in a similar business domain;
— entrepreneurial attitude;
— product-mindset;
