Luxoft, in collaboration with a leading UK Financial Services organization, is seeking a talented individual to join our team as an AWS Postgres & Reporting Subject Matter Expert (SME).About the Project:Luxoft has been engaged by a prominent UK Financial Services organization to partner on their ambitious Murex modernization roadmap. This multifaceted project includes upgrading to the latest version of MX 3.1, migrating from legacy Sybase deployments to Postgres, and transitioning from on-premises infrastructure to the public cloud.Responsibilities:Architecting the AWS RDS Postgres environmentLeading the database migration stream of the project and collaborating closely with Murex reporting SMEsMigrating existing custom SQL from Sybase to PostgresValidating post-migration reporting that runs on top of SQL queriesTechnical analysis, solution design, development, and unit testingParticipating in fixing production and test defectsEnd-to-end ownership of tasks in cooperation with Business Analysts and Testing teamMandatory Skills:7+ years of experience as a database administrator/architectExtensive experience working with Postgres in an AWS environment, specifically using RDSExperience in migrating from Sybase to PostgresProficiency in automating RDS Postgres operations including backups, data migrations, and importsAWS migration experience focused on data migrations between database technologiesFinancial services experienceNice-to-Have Skills:Understanding of Murex reporting and Datamart is a significant bonusLanguages:English: C1 AdvancedJoin us in this exciting opportunity to drive innovation and modernization in the financial services sector.
