Automation Quality Engineer (IRC234434) in GlobalLogic Ukraine

GlobalLogic is inviting an Automation Quality Engineer to join our team.

We are planning to work on a data platform which gathers information about the appropriate company from various sources, normalizes it according to the predefined flow and shows it to the user as a set of analytical dashboards. The gathered and processed information lets the end user make a decision regarding the business state of the investigated company. Analytical information helps to predict the future state of the appropriate company.

As an investor, the client provides high value analysis and support to partner companies to identify and mitigate emerging business challenges. Today the process is highly manual and fragmented.

The project aims to define and bring to life a digital platform that connects the client employees with relevant and meaningful information about their portfolio holdings, enabling insights and action.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Quality engineering automation experience
• Expertise and efficiency in developing automation frameworks, designing, developing, and implementing automated tests
• Experience in working with testing API / Restful services
• Strong fundamentals in clean coding best practices, object-oriented programming, asynchronous JavaScript and pytest
• Familiar with the fundamentals of web application on cloud and relational database architectures
• Familiarity with bug-tracking software such as Jira and TestRail
• High proficiency with Git version control
• Experience testing applications on AWS cloud, Angular/REACT, Continuous Integration, API client testing tools (e.g., Postman), REST APIs, WebSocket, Headless testing strategies
• Nice to have Capital markets experience testing Order Management and Execution systems
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with pytest.
• Experience with web application testing and Continuous Integration processes.
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (GitHub, JIRA etc.).
• Knowledge of SQL databases(preferably postgresql DB).
• Bonus: Experience with applications hosted on AWS EKS.
• Possibility to work at EST Time Zone with Client (Toronto) working hours (mandatory)

Job Responsibilities:

• Interact and collaborate with developers, QA, Business Analysts to create automated test suite.
• Design and implement clean, lean and modular automated test cases to reduce repetitive manual testing using recommended Test Automation framework
• Propose better automation frameworks for the project and facilitate POCs.q
• Identify and investigate issues found during testing, and update tests based on defects
• Review pull requests promptly to improve our code quality, enhance collaboration, and ensure timely project completion
• Maintain the quality, readability, and usability of the repository through regular refactoring
• Communicate implementation issues, delays, and mitigation plans
• Work with Scrum Team members in an Agile approach to analyze project requirements to increase automated testing and decrease risk
• Train and support QA team members / development on the automated test suites as appropriate
