AutoCAD Designer/Drafter in Actalent

Description:Looking for a Substation Design Technician to join our growing, nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in Raleigh, NC. This individual will be a part of a team that provides CADD/BIM support for large- and small-scale substation engineering projects. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual who wants to learn and take on new challenges.On a day-to-day basis, they’ll be expected to:Prepare substation related drawings such as plan and elevation views, control building details, grading plans, foundation details, grounding and conduit plans, control wiring schematic diagrams, and other related drawingsPerform other duties as neededSkills:Auto CAD, Autocad, Drafting, Design, microstation, Distribution, Power, Substation, Mechanical, MEP, Civil, Dominion Energy, Duke Energy, Duke Power, Electrical Design, Electrical Drafting, EngineeringTop Skills Details:Auto CAD, Autocad, Drafting, Design, microstationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Required Qualifications Engineering Tech or BS AutoCAD or MicroStation required Preferred 1+ years of experience developing substation CADD layouts/designs from engineering designs Proficiency using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required Ability to work closely with engineering staff, both local and in remote officesPreferred Qualifications Electrical utility or similar design experience preferred Proficiency with MicroStation or Inroads a plus Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills preferred Local candidates are preferredAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
