The Associate will work cross-functionally with our Investment, Finance, Compliance, Relationship Management, Information Technology, and Investment Administration teams. Cohen & Steers is committed to an inclusive culture, valuing diversity in support of our people and clients.Major Responsibilities/Activities: Reconcile research commissions on an ongoing basis with the firm’s brokersWork with brokers and operations to identify, investigate and resolve commission issuesPartner with stakeholders to find areas for improvement and efficiency; suggest automated system solutionsReport on firm’s trading activity. This includes producing both internal reports and client reportsSupport operations team with managing firm’s research and market data relationshipsCollect and produce Operational KPI reportingProduce monthly/quarterly reports on Information Technology project reports for InvestmentsReview monthly tracking error reports and escalate items (as needed)Coordinate, update and produce progress reports on country opening and derivatives initiatives for InvestmentsReview and update existing Investments procedures and guidelines documents Assist with Investment T&E budget related workAssist in managing budgets and conducting profitability analysesDevelop and manage special projects/ implementations with key stakeholdersSupport the Investments business management team to deliver on inter-departmental projects, including:Human resources management: organize and develop skills training and social eventsClient initiatives: coordinate access to new geographic markets and respond to client inquiriesInformation Technology: support the aggregation, prioritization and execution of projects; generate regular reporting and updatesInvestment Administration: partner to deliver solutions that enable access to new investment instruments and implement procedures to track and communicate progressMinimum Requirements:0 - 3 years of related experienceStrong and effective written and verbal communication skillsB.S. in Business Administration, Finance or related fieldsProficiency with Microsoft ExcelFundamental understanding of financial accounting principlesAbility to understand technological workflow processes across several platformsEnthusiasm and aptitude to become proficient with CNS’ commission management systemMotivated and willing to contribute with team responsibilitiesAbility to organize, adapt and prioritize workload to meet deadlinesDemonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectivesNote: This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
