General information

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), war victims, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.

Project description

The project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of workers who come to help first" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, the population affected by hostilities, persons without citizenship, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine. Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

Duties and tasks under the direct supervision of the regional office to support the main processes of the regional of the office:

  • Technical support for planning departures of office specialists.

  • Tracking of shifts (office, transit centers, etc.).

  • regional carriers.

  • Control of providing MTZ specialists with other materials during trips.

  • Working with incoming/outgoing correspondence. Documentation support of the referral system. 

  • Technical support in conducting regional coordination meetings (ABC, consortium, etc.).

  • Supporting mobile teams for the purpose of organizing trips to high-risk areas (preparing requests to the Social Security Administration, obtaining permits and passes, etc.). Participation in the preparation of reports on the work of specialists in high-risk areas.

  • Preparation of materials for operational reports at the donor's request.

  • Acquaintance of new office specialists with the approved planning procedure and its tools.

  • Organizational support for trainings and other events (forming lists of specialists for participation, sending plans, collecting necessary documentation for reporting, etc.).

  • Collection of the needs of field specialists regarding the provision of materials for the implementation of activities.

  • Maintenance of vacation schedule of regional office specialists.

Professional requirements

  • Practical experience of organizing administrative and business processes.

  • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience in similar positions in the humanitarian sector will be an advantage.

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Higher education.

  • Politeness and diplomacy.

  • Executing duties with gender sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment.

  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language.

  • Experience working with internally displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities will be an advantage.

  • Own vehicle will be an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team to meet deadlines.

  • Self-motivation.

  • Flexibility.

  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.
