About the jobThe ICRC Armed and Security Forces (FAS) Unit recruits an Armed and Security Forces (FAS) Assistantto be based in its Kyiv office. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the FAS Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the FAS program and all the activities related to the “military and security forces” (MAG/PGE) department. Start date: as soon as possibleYour Tasks and ResponsibilitiesCreate, maintain, and feed a contacts database containing Armed and security forces actors or other relevant external interlocutors (military or police attaches, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), UN system, etc.).Organize International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) related events, such as training, seminars, meetings, roundtables, and conferences, for law enforcement or military to promote IHL and IHRLMonitor and follow up budget expenditure in support of the FAS CoordinatorInitiate and follow up with Logistics Unit requests for material/ equipment in support of FAS Department activitiesTake notes during meetings and conferences and draft reports when neededContribute, if necessary, to written reporting, interpretation, or translationWhat we offer youEmployment contract according to Ukrainian labor lawFlexible working arrangementsAnnual paid 20 working days' vacationCompetitive gross salary between UAH 51,000 and 74,000 before taxationMedical insurance for employees and familyICRC Institutional trainingIndividual development covered by ICRCForeign language coursesConvenient office location in the city centerAbout youTo be successful as an Armed and Security Forces (FAS) Assistant in the Armed and Security Forces (FAS) Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics: Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in UkraineHigh-school degree (if military/police background) or University degree (if no police/military background)Background in legal and security is an assetTypically, 3 years of relevant professional experience (military, police, legal, or security or any other relevant experience)Fluent in written and spoken English and UkrainianComputer proficiencySelf-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principlesFlexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learnAbility to work independently, as well as effectively under supervisionConfidence in managing projects and staffAbility to organize and prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environmentInterested?
