The position of Anti-Illicit Trade (AIT) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Manager reports to the Head of Corporate and Legal Affairs Ukraine.
The position is intended to implement and control anti-illicit trade measures in the markets of the Central and Eastern Europe Cluster (hereinafter referred to as the Company) in accordance with the requirements of the national laws of the countries of the Cluster and the Company’s internal policies and standards, as well as to organize and control health & occupational safety in Ukraine in accordance with local legislation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and monitor implementation of AIT Strategy in Ukraine and in the CEE Cluster.
Organise market research on illegal trade, verify the legality of products, analyse information on the level, structure, sources and impact of illegal trade in tobacco products on the markets.
Ensure cooperation with governmental and law enforcement agencies, and with internal CEE and Group departments on issues related to combating illicit trade.
Ensure the work within the framework of operational projects on countering illegal trade (including the identification of places of illegal manufacture, storage, sale of tobacco products and groups involved in illegal actions, provide official explanations on requests of law enforcement agencies about products bearing the Company’s trademarks).
Represent the Company’s interests in industry associations and specialised working groups on illegal trade prevention (projects on responsible storage of confiscated equipment and materials, other industry projects).
Support law enforcement capabilities, cooperate with international organisations to exchange information, engage specialists in investigative actions, and in case of detection of illegal actions against the Company’s trademarks.
Contribute to raising awareness about the illicit tobacco trade problem among company employees, stakeholders and the public, including support of media campaigns and internal communications.
Participate in the preparation of proposals for amendments to legislation on intellectual property protection, prevention of fraudulent schemes and tax evasion violations in the tobacco sphere.
Carry out and coordinate risk assessment, implement and maintain the anti-smuggling prevention system to avoid the Company’s products being diverted to illegal channels. Conduct screening (integrity checks) of distributors and direct clients, their licences, court cases, sanctions to avoid risks of contraband and financial losses.
Develop, implement and monitor the implementation of legislative requirements and corporate standards on occupational health and safety in Ukraine.
Organise risk assessments and audits on occupational safety, fire safety, and investigate safety accidents according to Ukrainian legislation and internal standards.
Comply with the applicable laws, the Code of Conduct,Policies, Standards and Procedures, other global and local regulations of the Company, and the internal labour regulations.
Comply with the requirements for occupational safety, fire safety and protection of confidential information.
Carry out assignments from management related to the job duties.
Education and Professional Background:
University degree in Law, Economics, Security Management, International Relations, or a related field.
