Darvideo is looking for a director in an animation studio for regular project work. The studio produces explainers, commercials, entertaining and creative animated content. The director's task is to develop the concept and creatively supervise the implementation of the project, to ensure the integrity of the story and the compliance of the project with the set tasks. The animation director plays a key role in the creation of an animated video, unites the team, and is responsible for the level of the final product. The success of an animation project often depends on the director's ability to effectively lead and motivate the team, as well as his creative abilities and vision. Below are some of the main tasks of a director: Concept and script: An animation director is often involved in developing the concept and script of a project, determining the main theme, plot and characters. (The director does not write the script, our screenwriter does it, but the director actively helps). Storyboard: The director oversees the creation of the storyboard (or may create it himself), helps the team visualize the final product. Art Direction: He coordinates the work of artists and designers, ensuring that the visual style of the animation matches the overall vision of the project. (We currently have an art director in the studio, but the director partially overlaps with him in terms of functions). Animation: The director manages the animation process, including the movement of characters, facial expressions and the overall dynamics of scenes, accepts the work of animators, provides edits. Collaboration with voice actors and sound engineers: The director can work with voice actors, helping them understand their characters and convey emotions accordingly with their voice. Project management: The project manager is responsible for meeting schedules and budgets. However, if necessary, the director can influence these processes. It is important for us that the director: Had certain creative skills - one or more: writing scripts, drawing, or animation. Was a team player (first of all, directing is the ability to work in a creative team). Knew how to communicate with the team and with the client, i.e. keep the framework of the workflow. Proposed own artistic solutions. Was an advocate for the project (verbally, in text, in comments, in internal discussions with the team or in negotiations with the client). Able to persuade and defend ideas when it makes sense. Knowledge English at an intermediate or higher level will be a plus. If everything listed above resonates with you and you are interested in trying to work in our team, send your portfolio and write a short story about yourself and we will be happy to chat. Current projects of the studio can be viewed on our website https://darvideo.tv/ or on the YouTube channel of the studio https://www.youtube.com/user/DARvideoStudio/videos
