Android System Applications Engineer in Huawei

You will be responsible for the Android System Applications maintenance. That includes systems applications debugging, optimizations and their dependencies in the Huawei framework. Most of your working time will be devoted to dealing with issues coming from the field. You will analyze them, find the root cause and propose solutions and final fixes.

• At least 5 years of experience with Android OS and system applications
• Prior hands on experience in a few of the following: launcher, settings, system ui, calendar, weather, phone, messaging – development/maintenance/optimizations
• Experience in Android platform: system, applications, android security aspects
• Good command of Java/C/C++ (standard libraries)
• Knowledge of toolchains, cross-compilation, profilers, packaging, ADB
• Knowledge of Gradle/Ant/Make Build
• Self-reliance in performing tasks with ability to identify risks and issues. Capable of working under minimal supervision
• Attention to details and strong focus on solution delivery. Professional & proactive approach to tasks appointed
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Communicative English

Nice to have:

• Prior work and experience in the delivery or maintenance team (ideally the one dealing with a mobile phone system’s maintenance)
• System profiling and optimization techniques
• UML diagrams practical knowledge
• Be familiarwith functionality changes across the recent AOSP versions
• Knowledge of hardware architectures: Arm Cortex-A/m4 and other architectures
