About the role:

We’re looking for a dedicated Android developer to join our company on a part-time cooperation. You will collaborate as part of a team of developers to work on creating and maintaining Android apps.

As an Android developer, you must be familiar with the Android ecosystem and mobile app development, including familiarity with popular app frameworks and software development best practices. Your duties will include maintaining existing codebases, including bug fixing, and creating apps from scratch as part of a team while following all coding guidelines and industry best practices.

What challenges you will have:

• Designing and developing apps for the Android ecosystem
• Creating tests for code to ensure robustness and performance
• Fixing known bugs in existing Android applications and adding new features
• Working with external software libraries and APIs

• Working with designers to turn design templates into working apps

   

What skills do we require from you:

Necessary:

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with its idiomatic patterns.
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Knowledge of the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to production support.
• Experience with Coroutines for asynchronous operations and structured concurrency.
• Expertise with Retrofit and OkHttp for networking tasks.
• Proficiency in using Dagger for dependency injection in Android apps.
• Practical experience with the Room Persistence Library.
• Experience integrating Firebase services such as Firestore, Authentication, and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Hands-on experience with the Epoxy library to simplify RecyclerView layouts.

Would be good:

• Experience with Amplitude, Singular, RevenueCat SDKs
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools for Android, like Fastlane or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with multi-module Android projects.

• Communication with dev, product, and design teams on demand;
