About the job 

The ICRC Protection Working Unit seeks a competent Data & Analytics Officer to join our team in Dnipro. The Data & Analytics Officer supports and monitors subset of the data management processes within the metier to enable evidence-based decisions and improvements in the area of data entry, quality, support and analytics.

Start date: March 2026

NOTE: This position is a temporary replacement for an incumbent on a fixed-term contract, with the duration depending on the return date

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Apply best practices, standards, guidelines and templates for data management and analytics, and work on continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with established internal and external needs and regulations
  • Keep Data Management documentation updated
  • Assist in improving, developing & applying data quality monitoring processes & tools (dashboards etc) and contribute where appropriate in DQ controls automation
  • Monitor data quality controls and consolidates, clean and implements corrective actions
  • Assist metier in reflecting on their performance measures, improvements in the functional area of expertise and provides ongoing support with data and analysis
  • Contribute to institutional reporting and dashboards by supporting colleagues in delivering reports, revisions and optimization
  • Ensure continuity and smooth transition of data entered into various system applications
  • Contribute to the development of the data model and usage of the referential data that supports analysis

About you

To be successful as Data & Analytics Officer in the Protection Work Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

  • Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of BI, SQL, statistical packages, Tableau
  • Excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is an asset
  • Computer proficiency
  • Typically, 3–5 years’ overall professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar field
  • Ability to interact effectively with data users, managers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to understand new business processes and their interplay with software and organizational structure
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment

The Civil Population Protection Division of the ICRC is looking for a competent Consolidated Information Analyst to work in Dnipro. The analyst supports and oversees data management processes within the division to enable evidence-based decision-making and improvement in data entry, quality, support and analytics.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Apply best practices, standards, guidelines and templates for data management and analytics, and work towards continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with established internal and external needs and regulations
  • Maintain data management documentation up to date condition
  • Assist in the improvement, development and application of data quality monitoring processes and tools (dashboards, etc.) and, where appropriate, contribute to the automation of data quality control
  • Data quality control monitoring and its consolidation, cleaning and implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist specialists in the analysis of performance indicators, improvements in the functional area of expertise and provide ongoing support with data and analysis
  • Contribute to institutional reporting and dashboards, supporting colleagues in reporting, revision and optimization
  • Ensure continuity and smooth transition of data entered into various system applications
  • Contribute to data model development and use of supporting data analysis
