1. Project description
Strikersoft is advancing its Edge AI research program with exciting projects planned for the next five years. We aim to develop an effective system for rescue missions in natural and man-made disasters. Our goal is to create a highly effective solution that integrates vital health data from contactless technologies like camera etc.

2. Your Role
As an Engineer in our cross-country team, you will focus on AI model development and integrating software algorithms into FPGA prototypes.
- Based in Stockholm, Sweden, you will collaborate continuously with a professor’s team at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Representing Strikersoft within the KTH and Sweden consortium, by offline communication and reporting.
- Participating in educational activities at KTH.
- Developing AI software in close collaboration with other members of the Strikersoft IoT/AI lab.
- Contributing to Strikersoft’s knowledge base, including code repositories, technical documentation, and scientific papers.
- Driving innovation and sharing your expertise with lab members.
- Forming and managing a proprietary dataset to support AI model development.
Place: The role is positioned in Kista (Stockholm, Sweden) at Strikersoft and with active collaboration with your project colleagues at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Kista and Strikersoft’s R&D team.
We are considering candidates both in Stockholm and in other countries who can travel at least once a month to Kista (Stockholm, Sweden).
3. Your skills and experience
We are looking for an Engineer with a strong interest in AI, mathematics, computer science and scientific aspects of these subjects. You have a master’s degree computer science and/or electrical engineering or equivalent.
Your strength lies in seeing the big picture specific to use cases and customer focus. You are thorough with a mindset of delivering quality over quantity, as well as having strong communication skills. As a person you are driven, eager to develop yourself further and, team focused.
During the recruiting process, candidates will be assessed upon their abilities below:
- Effective collaboration with others while maintaining the ability to work autonomously and seek support or guidance as needed.
- Maintaining a professional approach in all aspects of work.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently while managing time effectively.
- Proactive Risk Management — identifying and escalating risks early to ensure timely resolution and avoid potential issues.
- Can analyse and work with complex issues.
- Have a strong background in mathematics, digital design, hardware description languages and machine learning algorithms.
- Programming languages such as Python, C++, VHDL/Verilog
- Mandatory to write and speak English well.

6. Terms
- Start of project: the 1-st of September 2024.
- Duration of project is up to 5 years.
- Working hours: 100%, i.e., 40 hours per week (not counting bank holidays and vacation).

The applicant must have basic eligibility accordance with either of the following
- Requirements for English.
- CV including your relevant professional experience and knowledge.
- Nice to have some AI pet-projects on GitHub (please share the link).
- Application letter with a brief description of why you want to pursue research studies, about what your academic interests are and how they relate to your previous studies and future goals (maximum 2 pages long).
- Copies of diplomas and grades from previous university studies and certificates.
