AI Engineer in Pro recruitment

We are looking for an AI Engineer who will take on a strategic role in the development and implementation of autonomous artificial intelligence for a Ukrainian miltech company. Your task is to build an architecture where advanced LLM technologies work at the service of defense projects, while ensuring 100% data localization and independence from external cloud providers.

This is an environment where intelligent solutions directly affect the speed of data processing in critical scenarios, and cyber hygiene and code security are the foundation developments. You will design systems capable of analyzing gigabytes of internal documentation, automating complex operational chains and ensuring the confidentiality of strategic information.

Mission: to create a powerful, locally deployed intelligence center of the company that minimizes routine, accelerates decision-making and guarantees complete data security in a critical industry.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Architecture design and deployment: Selection and adaptation of models (LLM) for hardware capacity of the company. Creation of local interfaces and environments for stable operation of AI without Internet access.
• Training and Fine-tuning: Deep adaptation of Open Source models (Llama, Mistral, etc.) to the specific terminology and internal processes of the miltech sphere.
• Building RAG systems: Creation of intelligent search systems capable of instantly finding answers in internal knowledge bases (PDF, Wiki, DB), while maintaining context and accuracy.
• Operational integration: Development of API endpoints for seamless integration of AI into corporate systems (CRM, ERP, internal messengers) and automation of routine business tasks.
• Monitoring and security: GPU/RAM load control, generation speed optimization and ensure guaranteed data privacy (data privacy).
• AI Research & Optimization: Constant monitoring of the model market, quantization (optimization) of heavy algorithms for work on limited equipment.

Desired professional requirements:

• Experience in deployment and configuration of Open-Source LLM (Llama 3, Mistral, Qwen) or others.
• Practical skills in Fine-tuning (PEFT, LoRA, QLoRA) or others.
• Experience in quantization models (GGUF, EXL2, AWQ) or others, for high performance on local hardware.
• Proficiency in Hugging Face stack, PyTorch or TensorFlow or others.
• Experience with vector databases (ChromaDB, FAISS, Milvus or pgvector or others).
• Ability to build complex query chains through LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with inference servers (Inference): vLLM, Ollama, TGI.
• Deep understanding of GPU stack (NVIDIA CUDA, cuDNN) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian) confident.
• Python experience (async code, Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience in building APIs (FastAPI, Flask) and working with Git.
• Understanding Agentic workflows and Prompt Engineering for consistent model behavior in business scenarios.
