Agro expert of the Livelihood program in Karitas Chernigiv, BO, BF

We are inviting an agro expert from the Livelihood program to our team. 
Caritas' livelihood program is an aid approach that aims to create sustainable sources of income and self-sufficiency in the agricultural sector for vulnerable populations.

Requirements:

• Higher agricultural education (preferably agricultural management, agricultural economics)
• Experience in implementation of projects, grants (preferred)
• Experience in communication with agricultural producers and profile agribusiness institutions, basic knowledge in the field of agronomy
• Experience of working in non-profit organizations or previous volunteer experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of languages: Ukrainian - fluent, English language proficiency level - Intermediate and above
• High level of skills in building quality communication, negotiation and teamwork;
• High level of development and creation skills documentation;
• ability to plan and prioritize work;
• understanding of the basics of project activities and the project cycle;
• high level of written communication and reporting skills;
• experience in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), applications for web conferences, etc.

  Main positions responsibilities:

1. Implementation and support of the project implementation system (assessment questionnaire, cost estimates, methodology, SOP)

2. Implementation and development of accountability and awareness of the local team

3. Development of the concept and strategy of project sustainability, research and assessment of needs

4. Communication, coordination and maintenance of professional relations with other organizations and institutions

5. Data collection, evaluation of program performance

6. Monitoring of project implementation and formation of regular reports based on monitoring visits to project beneficiaries

7. Study of best practices in the field of small and medium farming and dissemination of knowledge in the Agri Livelihoods program

8. Development and improvement of program components, preparation of cost estimates and calculation of costs in the areas of animal husbandry and poultry farming, crop production

9. Providing information to the local project manager about the progress and activities of the project

10. Help in the development of questionnaires, databases, selection criteria, survey questionnaires

11. Ensuring compliance of project activities with Caritas policies and procedures

12. Development of programs for support and development of agriculture and innovation

13. Ability to analyze business plans, as well as financial models in the field of agriculture.
