Agriculture analyst in Cofco International

We are a multi-flag, global agri-business with a six-continent supply chain, global logistics and processing assets located at key global trade flows, and more than 13,000 employees in 35 countries. From now we are looking for an experienced Agriculture analyst- to join our team in Kyiv office.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and supervise fundamental research in commodity market.
• Monitoring and assessing key market drivers and new developments in order to develop insightful analysis of the global grains/oilseeds market.
• Building and maintain trade flow data to monitor and predict future export/import flows
• Compile databases.
• Develop insights and forecasting tools which help provide directional and strategic trading recommendations.
• Building and maintaining comprehensive global and regional supply/demand models of the grains and oilseeds markets.
• Analysis and interpretation of developments in the futures and physical markets as well as weather changes and crop impacts globally.
• Support the traders in their market analysis needs and requests
• Generating regular and insightful information to the trading teams to strengthen the commercial position of the business.

Required Skills

• Two years relevant working experience, desirable in Agriculture, but not obligatory
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience analyzing agriculture market fundamentals and drivers
• Good written and spoken English
• Strong analytical and communicative skills, critical thinking skills
• Able to work well both independently and on teams
