Administrator/HPC Network Specialist in Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center

The Data Processing Technology Division specializes in building and managing infrastructure and IT services including data centers, supercomputer clusters, BigData and AI platforms, cloud systems and data storage and management systems. Our systems are used by users in Poland and Europe, and supercomputers and storage systems are on the lists of the fastest systems in the world - TOP500 and IO500.

Expected qualifications are:

• higher education (preferred IT or related studies; it is possible to establish cooperation also with final-year students);
• good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, enabling free configuration and diagnostics;
• basic knowledge of CLI network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.);
• knowledge of IP networks (routing, switching) and network protocols;
• ability to work in a team;
• commitment, independence and an open approach to assigned tasks as well as the ability to solve problems.

Qualifications preferred:

• experience in working with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.),
• Knowledge of server virtualization techniques (Xen, VMware, KVM, Docker, etc.),
• Experience in managing virtual infrastructure (VMware ESX, Proxmox, etc.),
• Knowledge of network protocols : BGP, OSPF, ISIS
• Knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN technologies
• experience in working with network monitoring tools,
• knowledge of automation techniques (Ansible, Chef),
• good knowledge of English.
