Accounts Payable Manager in Northtex Construction LLC

Job DescriptionACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGERSeeking a qualified accounts payable manager. Must be organized, detail oriented, meet strict deadlines and be accountable.ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER JOB DUTIES:Process accounts payables in a timely fashion. Analyze invoices to determine if it is charged to a job, cost code or an expense account. Pay vendors by preparing and scheduling checks, monitoring discount opportunities,Verifying federal ID numbers, contractor registrations,Resolving invoice or payment discrepancies, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos. Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Be knowledgeable of Sales and Use Tax regulations per state. Oversee AP entry staff and interact positively and synergistically with purchasing. All other duties as assigned. Accounts Payable Skills And QualificationsProficient in accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office software. Possess strong organizational abilities. Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and is an effective time manager and multi-tasker. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has a dedicated work ethic. Experience And Education Preference to formal education candidates - Associate’s degree in accounting, business or related field at a minimum. Experience in accounts payable management with AP entry staff reporting to you. Accounts Payable ManagerLeads the month-end closing process. Uses popular accounts payable software. Records all accounts payable transactions. Follows accounting and tax laws and standards. Investigates accounts payable issues as needed. Builds relationships with vendors and colleagues. Manages and trains accounts payable coordinators. Ensures payments are made accurately and on time. Creates accounts payable processes and procedures. Maintaining historical recordsResolve disputes & Negotiate Payment terms. Excels at project management and organization. Works carefully and is diligent and detail-oriented. Motivates a team and has strong leadership skills. Demonstrates advanced math and analytical thinking skills.
