Accountant (accounting for humanitarian aid) in the charity organization Nova Ukraine

International Charity Fund Nova Ukraine already 10 has been systematically providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine for years. Our team works to ensure that every dollar of donations from American citizens and partners goes to help Ukraine through the implementation of projects and initiatives in the areas of medical care, education, infrastructure and energy, advocacy and culture, animal assistance, evacuation, etc. During this time, we have provided humanitarian aid worth over 100 million dollars.

We are looking for a responsible specialist for the position of Accountant who is ready to take on important functions of accounting and control over the financial operations of our organization in close cooperation with other accountants and lawyers.

Duties and responsibilities:

• accounting of received and distributed humanitarian aid;
• preparation of acts of acceptance and transfer of humanitarian aid and other internal documents confirming the movement of humanitarian aid;
• control over the availability and correctness of the necessary documents for the receipt and distribution of humanitarian aid (contracts, requests, etc.);
• control over distribution of humanitarian aid;
• control over the return of original documents from Recipients of humanitarian aid;
• conducting regular reconciliations with Recipients of humanitarian aid;
• verification of the necessary package of documents for the registration of humanitarian cargo in the automated system of registration of humanitarian aid;
• registration of humanitarian cargo in the automated humanitarian aid registration system and formation of a declaration on the list of goods recognized as humanitarian aid;
• formation of an inventory description in the automated humanitarian aid registration system;
• preparation of monthly reporting to the Ministry of Social Policy on the availability and distribution of humanitarian aid.

Requirements for the candidate:

• complete higher education according to the profile;
• work experience in a similar position from 2 years;
• confident user of MS Office (Excel, Word);
• responsibility, diligence, ability to learn quickly, attentiveness;
• desire to help others and support the mission of the organization;
• relevant experience working in a charity organization and a level of English at Pre-Intermediate (A2) level and above would be an advantage.
