1st Line Support Engineer (Linux Virtualization & RDP) in EvoPlay

We are looking for 1st Line Support Engineer (Linux Virtualization & RDP)!

Evoplay is one of the leading product IT companies of Ukraine, which operates on the international market and creates complex B2B solutions for the online gaming industry.

Responsibilities:

• reception, registration and initial processing of incidents, related to the operation of Windows Server-based terminal servers in the Linux virtualization environment (Proxmox/KVM);
• initial diagnosis and resolution of typical technical problems of the operation of Terminal Services (RDP), virtual machines and services running on them;
• providing remote technical support to users, consulting on the correct use of the Windows terminal environment and assistance in solving typical operational connection issues to Windows Server through appropriate administration tools;
• deploy, upgrade and basic configuration of Windows Server, including installing roles and components, security updates, configuring services (RDP, WinRM, file services, etc.);
• basic understanding of monitoring systems such as Zabbix, including adding new hosts and agents, configuring key Windows/Linux monitoring parameters, binding templates, configuring triggers and checking the operation of data elements, basic diagnostics of the state of the agent and connection to the monitoring server;
• monitoring of the status of virtual machines and the Linux hypervisor, prompt response to performance failures or failures;
• participation in the support of the virtualization infrastructure, in particular, control of VM resources (CPU/RAM/Disk/Network), basic work with Proxmox (console, log files, statuses services);
• basic diagnosis of network connections of virtual and physical nodes (Linux bridge, VLAN, LAN), availability check;
• documentation of performed work, maintenance of technical notes, update of internal knowledge base and recommendations for users.

Requirements:

• basic knowledge of Windows, PowerShell, general knowledge of networks;
• basic skills of working with Linux, ready teach;
• Bash/Linux scripting - we consider candidates even with a basic level of skills;
• a technical education will be an advantage when selecting candidates;
• punctuality, attention to details, accuracy and attention.
