Position title:chief specialist

Structural unit:department of legal examination of international treaties and implementation of European legislation, management of international treaties and legal examination of investment and foreign economic policy of the department of legal support

Location of workplace:st. Khreshchatyk, 24, Kyiv

Main duties:

1. Elaboration and legal examination of draft regulatory acts

2. Verification of acts and orders for compliance with legislation, preparation of conclusions

3. Preparation of international treaties of Ukraine and development of legislative acts regarding their ratification in the field of investment protection, participation in the preparation of international treaties regarding the formation of bilateral intergovernmental commissions and agreements in the field of economic cooperation

4. Implementation of legal work related to the support of international cooperation between Ukraine and other states

5. Participation, within the scope of competence, in work and activities related to attracting international technical assistance

6. Participation in negotiations with representatives of foreign states and international organizations on issues of conclusion, amendment, extension and denunciation of international agreements on investment and economic cooperation, bilateral intergovernmental commissions and other international agreements, on issues that belong to the competence of the Ministry of Economy

7. Providing legal assistance to the structural units of the Ministry of Economy in the field of concluding international agreements of Ukraine on issues that belong to the competence of the Ministry of Economy, including with the European Union 8. Processing of appeals and requests of people's deputies, authorities and citizens within the competence of the department

9. Summarizing the practice of applying legislation and preparing proposals for its improvement

10. Participation in the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU legislation

Qualification requirements:

1. A degree of higher education not lower than a bachelor's degree in the field of law, international law. Work experience in civil service positions of categories "B", experience of service in local self-government bodies, institutions and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, will be a priority.
2. Fluent command of the state language. Proficiency in English at the B1-B2 level.

3. Knowledge of the Constitution of Ukraine, Laws of Ukraine: "On civil service", "On prevention of corruption", "On international treaties of Ukraine"; Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, approved by Resolution No. 950 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 18, 2007; Regulations on the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 21.07.2022 No. 903, General Regulations on the Legal Service of the Ministry, other executive power bodies, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1040 dated November 26, 2008, and other legislation.

4. Experience of training and legal expertson projects of normative legal acts, international treaties and international documents, generalization of the practice of applying legislation.

5. Understanding the mechanisms of adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU legislation, analysis of the practice of foreign countries.

6. Experience working with documents (orders, contracts), preparation of conclusions, responses to citizens' appeals, requests for public information, attorney's requests, deputies' appeals.

7. High level of communication skills, responsibility, ability to work in a team and interact with state authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations.
