Bitmark Inc. stands at an important crossroads between two phases of the internet: the Wild West, where bit companies own and exploit the digital lives of millions of people; and a future in which individual users can reclaim their digital property along with all the benefits of ownership. Unfortunately, neither the current reality or the future vision have been solidified in the public consciousness. People far too often still believe they own their digital assets when they do not, and so therefore a vastly different future is inconceivable.
